5 yr old chinese crested dog, sudden weakness in hip/leg. Anyone have an idea what it could be?

This is going to sound stupid... when was the last time he was wormed? Worms can be debilitating if they are sucking every bit of nutrition out of him. Otherwise? I'd see a good vet! Arthritis? Sprain? Strain? injury not evident? Could be a multitude of things!
