My Iphone GOT WET?? Will Apple notice?

So my iphone got wet,not completely submerged but enough so that it no longer works. So I read online about a sensor inside and how it changes color wheni looked inside it was silver but i dont know what color it was before. So does anybody know what color its suppose to turn or if apple will replace it??? I just sent it in today for repair???? Im so Nervous!!!
