When did news channels start to report on Michael Jacksons cardiac arrest and death?

I know he died 2:26 pm June 25th, but did the newschannel learn of the cardiac arrest before hand and display it 2:20, or was the cardiac arrest told later then, when they gave the confirmation to the news to confirm his death was it later? Do you understand what I am asking? I feel like I am asking this the wrong way..
